School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Shorewood, Illinois
Bring your expertise in school-based speech-language pathology to a rewarding contract opportunity in a collaborative educational setting near Shorewood, IL. You will work directly with a diverse caseload, including Nettle Creek’s general education students (5), River's Edge Academy’s ED/BD population (15), Saratoga Autism program participants (12 direct, 3 consult), and the Transition Learning Center (5 direct, 6 consult). As caseloads and additional details are finalized, you’ll have ongoing support to ensure your success throughout the assignment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current license and certification (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience in school settings strongly encouraged
- Proven skill in developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to work with a variety of exceptional student populations, including those with ED/BD, autism, and students in transition programs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational capabilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language therapy assessments and sessions
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing students’ specific needs
- Consult with classroom staff, special education teams, and families
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress per school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning
