This contract assignment is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds a CCC credential and is familiar with school settings. The position spans from ASAP through May 21, 2027, providing consistent full-time hours (37.5 per week).
You’ll serve both an elementary and a high school campus, offering the unique opportunity to work across grade levels while planning your own flexible weekly schedule. The caseload consists of 60+ students; the district acknowledges the size and is committed to leveraging additional support—an SLPA will be joining the team within the next couple of weeks.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Kansas SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a larger caseload with professionalism and creativity
- Willingness to travel between two campuses and adapt schedule as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and conduct evaluations for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and administrative teams
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports to support student growth
- Supervise and consult with SLPA as required
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
