Speech Language Pathologist in Shasta Lake, CA
Make a meaningful impact supporting students of all abilities by providing speech-language pathology services across multiple school sites in the Shasta Lake, CA area. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment for those passionate about helping learners unlock their communication potential.
As an itinerant provider, you will engage with a diverse group of students ranging from preschool through 8th grade. Your expertise will be valued as you address a variety of speech and language needs, working with individuals who have mild speech difficulties as well as those with more complex challenges such as autism and intellectual disabilities. With a manageable caseload of up to 55 students and a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams across 3–4 school locations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and goal setting
- Ability to adapt communication strategies to meet the needs of students with varying disabilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a flexible, itinerant schedule
- CTC (California Teaching Credential) preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in close collaboration with school teams and families
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Maintain accurate student records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Travel between assigned school sites to deliver consistent, high-quality services
