Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Texas SLP License (issued by the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Bilingual abilities highly desired
- Prior supervision experience a plus (as you’ll oversee an SLPA)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- References ready for credentialing
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to K–8 students, addressing a range of communication needs
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation
- Supervise and mentor a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in school meetings as needed and contribute to a positive campus climate
- Adhere to state and district guidelines for therapy services
- Work the standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
