This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, CCC required) to work within two nearby schools serving children ages 3-5. Although the schools are 45 minutes apart, you’ll enjoy spending each day at only one site, allowing for meaningful connections with students and staff.
This flexible position is ideal for a full-time professional who can oversee both locations, but candidates seeking part-time roles will also be considered.
What we’re seeking:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings, especially with children ages 3-5, is highly desirable
- Strong assessment, planning, and therapy skills tailored to the needs of young learners
- Excellent communication skills to partner effectively with teachers and families
- Reliable transportation to commute between the two locations as needed
Role breakdown:
- Pine Plains: 3 days/week, providing up to 10 sessions daily (40 sessions/week)
- Mt. Marion: 2-3 days/week, ramping up from lower frequency as enrollment grows (potentially 43 sessions/week once full)
- Deliver individualized and small-group speech-language therapy
- Complete evaluations, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teaching teams and support classroom language strategies
- Maintain detailed progress records and ensure compliance with all regulations
