School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Sarasota, Florida

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to advancing student communication and academic achievement in vibrant school settings near Sarasota, FL. Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists are sought for assignments split between Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary—both offering dynamic, supportive environments and diverse caseloads.
At Buffalo Creek Middle School, you’ll lead direct therapy for approximately 50 students, support about 10 students via consultation, and collaborate within specialized low cognitive and behavior units. Prine Elementary offers the chance to work alongside experienced colleagues and a part-time SLPA, serving an anticipated 95 students, including multiple PK and specialized classes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active FL SLP License
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to work at both middle and elementary levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP team meetings
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Contract Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week, on-site
- Assignment anticipated ASAP through end of May 2027
- Some flexibility with scheduling—Buffalo Creek may be completed in a 4-day week
