Work closely with a diverse student population, collaborating with educators and other therapy professionals to help students achieve their goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license, with school-based experience preferred
- Experience with high school-aged students highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students’ educational success
- Collaborative attitude to thrive within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to high school students as directed in IEPs
- Conduct student assessments and reassessments to determine therapy needs and progress
- Document services provided, maintaining accurate, confidential records
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to each student
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of educational plans
- Consult and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to maximize student growth and participation
- Support student independence and functional skills relevant to the school environment
