Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Santa Ana, CA
A rewarding opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist is available for a short-term contract covering a maternity leave. In this role, you’ll support students at various elementary sites, working within a welcoming team environment. This position runs from October 5, 2026, through December 18, 2026, and requires a full-time, onsite presence with a focus on providing services to students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade experiencing mild-to-moderate needs, including autism-specific support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students across elementary grades
- Perform comprehensive assessments and provide individualized therapy
- Collaborate actively with teachers, specialists, and interdisciplinary school teams
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Dedicate paid time to administrative tasks and team meetings
- Deliver services in-person at several local school sites
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Hold a valid California Speech-Language Pathology license (or appropriate credentials)
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance required prior to starting
- Experience supporting students in elementary school settings preferred
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in IEP management
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
