Speech Language Pathologist in Sanford, FL
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student communication and growth in a dynamic educational setting near Sanford, FL. Skilled Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for several contract roles working with diverse students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Current openings range from short-term maternity leave coverages to full school-year positions, with schedules from two to five days per week. Clinical Fellows are welcomed and will receive supervision. Please note: these positions are onsite and only available to SLP-CCC and those holding a Florida SLP license—SLPAs and virtual candidates will not be considered.
Preferred backgrounds include significant experience serving school-based or pediatric populations, particularly expertise supporting individuals with severe to profound disabilities and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Florida SLP license and ability to obtain necessary credentials for school-based practice
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Familiarity with AAC systems, and direct experience supporting severe-profound student needs
- Previous school-based experience highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, intervention, and therapy services to K-12 students
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with educators and families to support student goals
- Document services and maintain accurate records in accordance with school protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Adapt therapy plans as required to meet individual student needs
