School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | San Tan Valley, Arizona
Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a contract-based Speech-Language Pathologist. You will work 40 hours a week, splitting your time between a K-8 campus and an Early Childhood Learning Center near San Tan Valley, AZ. This engaging opportunity lets you collaborate with educators and families to promote communication skills for students across a wide age range.
Key qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (Arizona state requirements apply)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, or eligibility
- Experience or strong interest in serving K-8 and preschool populations
- Ability to support students with diverse needs, including those who are medically fragile or have moderate to intensive disabilities
- Capable of managing caseloads efficiently while providing individualized attention
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention for students (K-8 caseload of approx. 68 students, including about 15 medically fragile/more intensive needs; Early Childhood Center caseload approx. 65 after redistribution)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement IEPs and develop speech and language goals
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify communication disorders and recommend strategies
- Track progress and maintain compliant documentation
- Engage in IEP meetings and support families with resources and guidance
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
