School Speech Language Pathologist - Avondale, Arizona

You will either supervise a full-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) across the district—if qualified—or fulfill the traditional responsibilities of a full-time SLP. Desired Background and Credentials:
- Active Arizona Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Arizona Department of Education (DOE) certification
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Previous experience with K-8 caseloads and comfort in supervising an SLPA or working as an onsite SLP
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with communication disorders
- Maintain accurate records and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families for integrated student support
- Consult and lead group sessions or work within self-contained and cross-categorical models
- Supervise and mentor SLPA staff, if qualified
