School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | San Marcos, Texas
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students throughout the academic year, providing Speech-Language Pathology services at school sites near San Marcos, TX. You’ll collaborate with educators and a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic, student-centered environment focused on success for learners from preschool through high school and beyond.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid Texas license (or eligibility for licensure) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Comfortable working with a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Capable of serving diverse grade levels (PK-12), with assignments matching strengths and preferences
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver speech and language therapy onsite across assigned campuses (not accepting virtual/remote work)
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with school guidelines
- Consult with staff and parents to support each student’s educational goals
- Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Travel between 1-2 campuses as needed (assignments based on preference and strengths)
