Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - San Marcos, California

Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract assignment from October through mid-December. This opportunity involves serving three schools in the area, providing onsite support to develop and refine students’ communication skills during the upcoming maternity leave period.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California licensure as an SLP (CCC preferred; open to CFY candidates)
- Specialized experience in pediatric and school settings
- Background in teletherapy or healthcare-based SLP work a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Capability to work efficiently across multiple school sites supporting diverse caseloads
- Commitment to fostering positive learning environments for middle schoolers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy sessions tailored to each student’s IEP goals
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech/language/communication challenges
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Support and develop students’ communication abilities through evidence-based interventions
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state mandates
- Adapt strategies for middle school learners to encourage engagement and measurable progress
