School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - San Jose, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a vibrant school setting. This contract position seeks a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in a diverse educational environment, especially one who can connect with both English- and Spanish-speaking students. You'll work part time, three to four days a week, from now through the end of the school year in an onsite capacity—making a real impact across grades Tk-8. The caseload ranges from 20 to 30 students, offering a manageable and meaningful experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California SLP license or eligibility for licensure (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY applicants welcome)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but open to dedicated clinicians eager to support children
- Strong bilingual skills; fluency in Spanish required
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Genuine enthusiasm for fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students in grades Tk-8
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress and success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to goal setting and intervention planning
