Speech Language Pathologist in San Jose, CA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid and active SLP license in California or eligible for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but not required for CFY applicants
- Prior experience in a K-12 school setting is strongly favored
- Expertise in delivering both individual and group therapy services
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapy to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Complete thorough student evaluations and participate in eligibility determinations
- Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each session
- Guide and educate teachers, support staff, and families on strategies to promote student progress
- Engage in IEP meetings, offering professional insights and advocating for student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
