School Speech Language Pathologist - San Lorenzo, California
Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to make a difference in students’ lives. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers both seasoned professionals and Clinical Fellows (CFY) the chance to provide critical direct and indirect therapy services throughout the current school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active CA SLP license or eligible for Clinical Fellowship (CFY) if applying as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLP, but open to CFY candidates
- SLPA applicants must hold a valid CA SLPA credential
- Relevant experience in a K-12 school setting is advantageous
- Comfortable providing direct therapy and engaging in activities such as IEP meetings, documentation, assessments, and collaborative planning
- Teletherapy experience is useful, but this position is onsite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, faculty, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and participate in IEP development
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and parents to support students’ communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and address indirect service requirements such as consults and paperwork
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
