Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage in a school setting in San Antonio, Texas. This assignment is expected to begin in December 2026 and last approximately 12 weeks. The SLP will work during typical school hours and will be responsible for supervising an SLPA. The district uses a workload approach, which accounts for variation in student numbers when determining an SLP's responsibilities and service needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services based on student needs and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and participate in evaluations as appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and service records
- Supervise and provide guidance to an SLPA
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other members of the educational team
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
- Manage workload and service responsibilities using the district's workload-based approach

- Ability to manage a varied workload based on student needs
- Ability to effectively supervise and support an SLPA
Qualifications
- Texas SLP License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Ability to provide school-based speech-language services
- Ability to supervise an SLPA
Experience
- School-based experience is preferred
- Experience supervising an SLPA is preferred
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Work Hours & Industry
Hours: Full-time; typically 7:30 AM–4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch
