Qualifications:
- Current and valid Virginia SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly desirable; consideration given to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- School-based experience and/or pediatric expertise preferred
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and remote intervention models
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse caseloads and collaborate with faculty and families
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and student progress reports
- Engage in regular communication with educators and families to foster supportive learning environments
- Adapt therapy sessions for individual and group needs, in-person or via teletherapy platforms as required
- Maintain thorough records and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Uphold professionalism and adapt to evolving caseloads or site assignments as needed throughout the contract
