Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Four full-time positions are open for the 2026-2027 school year, based onsite near Round Lake, IL. New hire orientation is scheduled from August 12th to 14th, with start dates to follow. This role offers a 35-hour workweek, serving a diverse student population within a supportive educational setting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, active Illinois SLP license (please submit a screenshot of your license status)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois (screenshot of status required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; strong Clinical Fellows are also considered
- Previous school-based and/or pediatric experience is a plus
- Passion for working with students with special needs and diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct speech and language therapy services for students in K-12 settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for student progress and compliance
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and team collaboration to support students' academic and social success
- Consult with teachers, families, and other service providers to implement strategies that foster student development
- Adapt service delivery models and materials to meet a range of student needs
This is an onsite-only role dedicated to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The caseload and grade assignments will be determined based on experience and district needs.
