School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mojave, California
Work with a diverse group of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant TK-12 district serving approximately 3,650 learners. This position offers the chance to provide services exclusively onsite in a supportive educational environment located near Mojave, CA. The district, comprised of multiple sites in Rosamond, is dedicated to delivering quality speech and language support for students ranging from general education needs to those with moderate and severe disabilities.
In this role, you’ll have a caseload that may be up to 60 students, split between Rosamond Elementary School (TK–5th grade) and Rosamond High Early College Campus (9th–12th grade). It’s a full-time contract, with 37.5 hours per week required from August 2026 through early June 2027. You’ll play a key part in helping students develop essential communication skills that foster academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California SLP license and ASHA CCC certification
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Flexibility to work across grade levels and with a wide range of needs
- Commitment to providing onsite, face-to-face services throughout the contract
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
