Speech Therapist in Rome, GA

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a maternity leave position within a school district serving PreK students across multiple daycare locations near Rome, GA. This itinerant role involves providing direct therapy and case management for young children in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.
Location:
- Various daycare centers within the district, approximately 4-5 sites including Head Start South and North
Employment Details:
- Contract position from approximately December 22, 2025, to April 6, 2026 (dates may vary slightly for transition)
- Full-time hours, between 37.5 and 40 hours per week
- Onsite-only role requiring travel between daycare locations within the district
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to PreK students across multiple daycare facilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 13 students requiring IEP case management, with about 39 students served in total
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress and meet IEP goals
- Maintain compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Prior experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-aged children, is highly preferred
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple sites efficiently
