School Speech Language Pathologist - Rochester, New York

Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of or eligibility for SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY
- Valid or eligible license for Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior experience in school settings is highly favored
- Strong understanding of school-based speech and language interventions
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) experience is highly preferred
- Ability to collaborate well with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated skills in evaluating, diagnosing, and implementing individualized therapy plans for students aged K-21
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students in diverse age groups
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) specific to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services, monitor progress, and document ongoing development
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and external specialists to maximize student support
- Integrate AAC devices and strategies when appropriate to facilitate communication
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for school-based therapy
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as needed
