Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Roanoke, Virginia

Key qualifications and experience valued:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility)
- Experience or training in school-based settings
- Open to both Clinical Fellowship (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) candidates
- Pediatric experience is highly regarded
- Strong understanding of IEP process and school documentation
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Core responsibilities include:
- Administering assessments and conducting student evaluations
- Developing, writing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attending and participating in IEP and interdisciplinary meetings
- Delivering direct speech and language therapy to students
- Consulting with educators and families to optimize student outcomes
- Managing caseloads and itinerant assignments as determined by the district
- Participating in paid travel time between school sites
This full-time opportunity encompasses 37.5 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the academic year. Caseloads and school assignments will be discussed during the interview process to align with your experience and preferences.
