Qualifications and Background Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- North Carolina Department of Public Instruction “G” License required
- Eligible to hold or currently possess licensure by the NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is advantageous
- Capacity for effective individual and group therapy, as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services for students with a wide range of speech, language, and communication challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide consultation and professional guidance to staff and families regarding student needs and progress
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Engage in proactive planning and oversight of caseload and therapy services
