Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Work full time, 37.5 hours per week, with a school year assignment beginning July 27, 2026 and continuing through June 4, 2027. You'll play a critical role in fostering student success by providing screening, assessment, and intervention services within an educational setting.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association preferred
- G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction is mandatory
- License from the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists may be held
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but enthusiastic newcomers with the required credentials are encouraged to apply
- Strong planning, organization, and communication skills essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and diagnostics for students
- Develop and oversee implementation of individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support students’ educational goals
- Provide informed recommendations and consultations as part of the IEP team
- Maintain detailed records of progress, reporting findings as required
- Advise on strategies and interventions to support student communication and language development in the classroom
