Qualifications:
- Current Washington State ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification—required.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Washington State SLP license or eligibility to obtain it before start date.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt communication style for students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Experience in school-based settings (preferred), though not required for enthusiastic candidates committed to student-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure tailored support for each student.
- Maintain detailed records documenting progress, sessions, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student development.
- Provide education and resources to staff and parents as needed.
