School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Providence, Rhode Island
Step into a fulfilling part-time opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, making a significant impact on student success in a supportive middle school environment. This contract position is designed for compassionate professionals eager to provide direct, in-person services to a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students. Starting late August 2026 and continuing through mid-June 2027, you’ll work two days each week, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., giving you a steady yet flexible schedule.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license for Rhode Island
- Current RIDE (Rhode Island Department of Education) certification
- School-based experience is strongly preferred
- Please note: SLPAs will not be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services to middle school students in an in-person setting
- Develop and implement individualized educational and therapeutic plans
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s communication needs
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services and student progress
- Comply with all state, district, and professional guidelines
