Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Rhode Island
- Prior experience as a school-based SLP or in pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized therapy planning
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with IEP process and special education documentation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics for students
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy
- Develop and implement IEP goals and progress monitoring
- Maintain detailed session notes and required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to support student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Engage in family communication and education to enhance therapy impact
