Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for a dynamic school-based team near Prosperity, SC. As an integral part of the educational community, you’ll work with students to help them achieve their communication and academic goals through expert, compassionate therapy.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic sessions for students with diverse speech and language needs.
- Develop, write, and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) customized to each student’s requirements.
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy (both individual and group sessions) and meticulously document student progress.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team consultations, and school staff development programs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to foster optimal student success.
- Prepare to support students across one or two school sites, servicing a varied K-12 caseload.
Your Background:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current or pending South Carolina SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is a plus.
- Ability to clear state and fingerprint background checks before starting.
- Experience in K-12 school settings is preferred, but clinicians new to school-based practice are also encouraged to apply.
- Commitment to onsite services; teletherapy-only arrangements are not available.
