A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving multiple school locations within Somerset County, Maryland, including Pocomoke City and surrounding areas. This role requires delivering high-quality speech and language services to students across the district, fostering their communication development in an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes aligned with district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student support.
- Deliver direct therapy services onsite, ensuring compliance with state and federal educational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Maryland Teaching Certificate in speech/language pathology required.
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working within school settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week onsite.
