Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during the academic year near Pottstown, PA. We're seeking dedicated SLPs (CCC or CFY) to provide essential services to students, focusing on both evaluations and ongoing support. This role runs from August 17th to June 11th, with the possibility of annual renewal and opportunities for summer work.
This school environment offers flexibility, accommodating both full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time schedules. Priority will be given to SLPs able to assist with elementary and moderate/severe student needs, but those interested in evaluation-only roles are also welcome to apply. Clinical Fellows will find robust supervision and mentorship as they begin their careers.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license (or eligibility) as an SLP in Pennsylvania
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or interest in working with school-aged children, specifically elementary level and students with moderate/severe needs
- Skilled in comprehensive speech/language evaluations and IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and assessment services for students (elementary focus, moderate/severe needs)
- Conduct evaluations and support development of IEP goals and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school and district procedures
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Opportunities to cover ESY (extended school year) programming if interested
