Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility preferred)
- Prior experience working in a school environment, ideally with K-8 populations
- Strong background supporting students with diverse disabilities, including non-verbal communication
- Proficiency with AAC devices and alternative communication methods a plus
- Effective collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services to K-8 students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments to determine communication strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support students in developing functional communication skills, including use of AAC systems
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input for personalized education plans
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide array of student abilities and needs
