Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous school-based experience, specifically with K-8 populations, is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs for students with a range of disabilities
- Skilled in both traditional and augmentative communication strategies, including working with non-verbal students
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver therapy to address speech, language, and communication challenges
- Design, update, and execute individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Document progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and support staff
- Teach and model the use of augmentative and alternative communication tools as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the collaborative planning process
- Provide input and support throughout the school year, including ESY and beyond
