Step into an impactful role supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging school environment near Portage, IN. As part of this opportunity, openings are available for three SLPs (CCC strongly preferred), each playing a crucial part in a highly collaborative team dedicated to student success. SLPA applicants will not be considered at this time.
Multiple assignment options are available, allowing you to provide care in elementary, intermediate, or multi-site settings, with flexible 7-hour days and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Caseloads range from preschool to middle school and typically include support from Speech-Language Assistants, pending licensure eligibility.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Indiana (CCC preferred)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly desired
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, speech/language assessments, and intervention planning
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Committed to student-centered, inclusive services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop goals, and deliver therapy for K-8 or preschool-age students in accordance with IEP requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in applicable meetings
- Adjust therapeutic approaches as needed to meet diverse student needs
- Consult and guide support staff as available
