This contract position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP – CCC) passionate about making an impact from Pre-K through 8th grade. Based on-site just outside Port Saint Lucie, this role will let you focus your expertise on one school with an engaging PK Resource therapy caseload.
Enjoy a balanced schedule with just 14 hours per week across two days, working in collaboration with dedicated educators and school staff. You’ll serve as the sole SLP on campus, providing direct assessment, intervention, and ongoing support to students in need of speech and language services.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
- Ability to provide therapy to children Pre-K through 8th grade
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable being the only SLP on-site and managing a diverse caseload
- District credentialing requirements include fingerprint clearance (can utilize ACHA Clearinghouse if previously fingerprinted)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in line with student IEPs
- Deliver engaging intervention for students with diverse speech/language needs
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary team
- Document progress and participation per district and state guidelines
- Provide expertise and consultation when needed to education staff
