School Speech Language Pathologist - Port Saint Lucie, Florida

What You'll Need:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP licensure in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Schools-based SLP experience strongly desired, especially middle/high school
- Flexibility to work across 1-2 school sites, based on assignment
- Strong communication skills, team approach, and adaptability
- Ability to pass fingerprint/background checks (preference for those already in DOH system)
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and diagnostic services for K-12 students, including those in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional/Behavioral Disability (EBD) units
- Manage a diverse caseload: assignments may include working with middle schoolers, high-schoolers, or K-8 students across varying resource levels
- Collaborate with other SLPs, SLPAs, and special education teams (at some sites you’ll be the sole SLP, while at others, you’ll work as part of a team)
- Document progress, develop treatment plans, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Adapt quickly to changing school assignments as you cover maternity leaves or shift between campuses
- Provide services on-site—remote/virtual options are not available
