School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Port Matilda, Pennsylvania
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across a K-12 setting by providing speech-language services in a dynamic educational environment near Port Matilda, PA. This contract opportunity involves working with a diverse range of student populations, dividing your expertise across three buildings: elementary, middle, and high school. You'll address both individual and group needs, helping learners thrive academically and socially.
Your week will include 55 therapy sessions—16 individual and 37 group—each lasting 30 minutes, for a full-time schedule of 35 hours. Enjoy the variety and challenge of collaborating with dedicated educators while helping students reach their communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate and SLP Certificate (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology; confidence across K-12 grades
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload spread over multiple school buildings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and deliver targeted therapy to K-12 students
- Write and update IEPs, track student progress, and communicate effectively with teachers and families
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques for diverse student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Travel between elementary, middle, and high school buildings as schedule requires
