Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Florida SLP license, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions based on student needs and IEP requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer support, guidance, and training for educational staff as needed
