Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current and valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in schools
- Familiarity with IEP processes, assessments, and goal setting
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse learning needs
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students, individually or in small groups
- Conduct assessments to identify communication needs and develop intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings, providing expert input regarding students' language goals
- Maintain thorough records of student performance, attendance, and service delivery
- Educate and support caregivers and teachers to facilitate carryover of skills
- Remain current on best practices and legal requirements related to school-based SLP services
