Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an elementary school team in Plano, Texas for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with speech and language needs in an educational setting.
The selected candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 40 elementary-aged students and provide comprehensive speech-language services, including evaluations, therapy, IEP development, and collaboration with educational teams and families.
Assignment Details
- Approximately 40 students on the caseload
- Full-time schedule (40 hours per week)
- Onsite position for the 2026–2027 school year
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and objectives
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative school environment
Preferred Qualifications
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based experience
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Knowledge of special education regulations, IEP processes, and educational best practices
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapy services
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide consultation and support to educational staff and families
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district requirements
