School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Plainfield, New Jersey

In this in-person role, you’ll have the benefit of a smooth transition by shadowing the outgoing SLP prior to their leave, ensuring continuity of care and a seamless start. Key Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- New Jersey Department of Education certification required
- Experience with school-based SLP services across PreK-12th grade preferred
- Familiarity supporting nonverbal students and comfortable with low-tech AAC devices
- Commitment to in-person work; remote/virtual services not available for this assignment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students
- Complete documentation, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Implement individualized therapy plans, including use of low-tech AAC supports when appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff for integrated student support
- Offer insights and expertise throughout the transition period with the outgoing SLP
