Speech Language Pathologist in Pittsford, NY
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students ages K-21 as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Pittsford, NY. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams, helping children and young adults develop essential communication skills that set them up for long-term success. This school-based position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week and runs through June 26, 2026, allowing you to truly connect with your students and make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
- New York State SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Advanced experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices highly desirable
- Commitment to serving students from kindergarten through transition-age (up to 21 years)
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with a broad range of speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and related service providers
- Support students requiring AAC through assessment and device integration
- Maintain accurate, timely progress reports and documentation in accordance with state/regulatory standards
