Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid state Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active state educator certification
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Skilled at working independently as well as collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to meet IEP goals for a diverse caseload of about 50 students
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and participate in developing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Document treatment sessions, progress, and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Facilitate engaging therapy sessions—individually and in small groups—tailored to each child’s needs
- Consult with educators, parents, and support personnel to ensure integrated support for students’ communication development
- Maintain up-to-date records and case documentation, submitting reports as required
