School Speech Language Pathologist - Phoenix, Arizona
Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ communication development in a welcoming school environment near Phoenix, AZ. This contract position provides an excellent opportunity to work with PK-6th grade students across four self-contained classrooms, making a direct impact on their educational journey. As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC's, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team and oversee the work of two skilled SLPAs, sharing caseload responsibilities and helping to guide their professional growth. While prior supervisory experience is appreciated, it's not required—passion and commitment will set you apart.
Qualifications:
- Holds Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC's)
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Experience with school-aged children PK-6 strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in self-contained classroom settings
- Supervisory experience a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to a varied PK-6th caseload in four self-contained classrooms
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student goals
- Conduct assessments, write and implement IEPs, and maintain accurate documentation
- Supervise and mentor two SLPAs, splitting caseload and responsibilities effectively
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
