School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Step into a pivotal role shaping young minds as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving middle and high school students in a vibrant educational environment just outside Philadelphia, PA. This full-time, onsite contract position spans from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, providing dedicated support to a diverse group of students and faculty. Only onsite candidates will be considered, as the district has virtual providers in place.
In this essential position, you’ll collaborate with school teams and families, utilizing your SLP - CCC credentials and substantial school-based experience to deliver impactful speech and language services. Your daily schedule will align with school operational hours between 7:15AM and 4PM, and reliable transportation is required as no accommodations can be made to alter work hours.
Preferred Background and Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology - CCC certification
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings, specifically with middle and high school aged students
- Demonstrated ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Comfortable working in urban educational environments
- Adept at supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Flexible, collaborative approach with school teams
- Reliable means of transportation
Expected Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech and language therapy in accordance with student IEPs and district guidelines
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff
- Communicate progress effectively to families and school representatives
- Support students with a variety of communication needs
- Manage a general caseload across assigned grade levels
