Step into a rewarding long-term substitute opportunity this upcoming school year as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in the Northeast Philadelphia area. Starting in August and continuing through December, you'll have the chance to work with a diverse K-8th grade caseload, making a meaningful difference in students’ communication development during a pivotal stage of their education.
Expect a structured schedule, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 2:30 PM. Your first week will focus on onboarding and training, setting you up for success before students arrive on September 8th. With a manageable caseload of 40-50 students, you’ll deliver both individual and group interventions aimed at helping learners thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC certification
- Previous experience with K-8 students preferred
- State SLP licensure eligible or in hand
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt techniques to a broad range of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy in both small groups and one-on-one sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and comply with all regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
This contract role offers a chance to strengthen your clinical impact while building valuable school-based experience. The director is conducting interviews on Tuesday, 5/12 between 9 AM - 10 AM or after 12, as well as Thursday, 5/14 from 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM or 1:30-2:30 PM.
