Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Phenix City, AL

Take on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students across a close-knit school district based near Lanett, AL. This position spans three schools, all within a short distance of each other, providing service to a diverse range of students from PreK through high school. With a manageable PK-12th caseload of around 60 students, you’ll address mild to moderate disabilities and varied therapy needs. The school year runs from August 8 through May 23, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule and a full-time, onsite commitment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders
- Valid Alabama SLP license and eligible teaching certificate for SLPs
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are also encouraged to apply
- School-based experience is valued but not essential—enthusiastic new graduates will be considered
- Open to candidates with licensure from other states who can secure Alabama certification
- Pediatric SLP knowledge and passion for serving students with a spectrum of therapy needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and case management for a caseload of about 60 students with mild to moderate needs
- Work with students from Early Childhood through Grade 12
- Deliver individualized and small-group interventions according to IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families for comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes
- Travel between three nearby school sites as needed
