Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as required by Alabama regulations
- Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 students
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the workday
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech, language, and communication intervention for a diverse caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Document student progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with school and state standards
- Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Adapt services and approaches to meet the needs of a dynamic and varied caseload
Position Details:
- Full-time contract for the 2024-2025 school year
- 7-hour workdays with dedicated time for lunch and breaks
- Schedule generally from 8AM-3PM, with slight site-based variation
- Engage with K-12 students across three school sites
