Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification highly desired
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license with Special Services endorsement, or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs
- Solid background in performing assessments and progress monitoring
- Understanding of MTSS and knowledge of school-based speech-language service models
- Ability to foster trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Adaptable and student-centered approach with a keen focus on solutions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to K-12 students in accordance with IEPs and multi-tiered support systems
- Assess, diagnose, and document student speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop evidence-based, individualized goals and interventions
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistent, quality service delivery
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain timely, thorough documentation of student progress
