Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state of Florida (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable creating IEPs and documenting student progress
- Adaptable to evolving caseloads and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings as needed
- Evaluate students for speech/language delays and determine appropriate interventions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Deliver therapy sessions individually and in groups, incorporating engaging, evidence-based activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support academic achievement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, and IEP reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to contribute expertise regarding students’ communication abilities
