Required Skills and Competencies:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
- Current Professional Educator Certification
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations regarding children with disabilities and special education programs
- Familiarity with pediatric and adolescent development, as well as assessment tools for cognitive, physical, medical, and psychological needs in children with disabilities
- Understanding of terminology related to physical and learning disabilities
- Analytical skills to interpret policies, laws, and data relevant to special education
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Preferred Credentials:
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP)
- ABSESPA Licensure
Role Overview:
- School-based, onsite position (no telepractice/voco options)
- Caseload and assigned school site determined based on organizational need and student population
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to evaluate and address student needs in speech and language
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and progress reports
